Flicker. Point. Signals. is an epistolary project by Evgenia Tut and Inna Grishechkina. Their dialogues are "written" in ascetic black and white on five calico canvases. This simplicity defies literal decoding, like music with pauses and sounds or the defining experience of architectural space. The artists' languages exist in an intentional impulse. The collision of these two modes of expression creates a score of signs that resemble large raindrops, ripples of water, or rocks on the shore — it is also a text with its meaning. Like the ruins of nature, it is a story we can fully feel without reading a word. They can be understood as gestures of interaction, as a desire to understand each other, as the formation of language, or as the mechanisms of human communication.
