This is a personal form of the artist’s diary practice, executed with a calligraphic tool.
The broad nib played a key role in the development and establishment of the handwritten practice of transmitting information, sacred texts were written with a broad nib.
The practice is about time and fleeting acquisition. It is impossible to gain anything
for a long time. It is like a moment of illumination — just a flash.
The sheets in this series become witnesses to the transience and proofs of permanence. This is
practice of the path of being present, finding and losing footing, which leads to the realization that the real footing is to have no footing, and thus be set free.
The grid marking of the sheet and the sum of pencil notes in the margins nevertheless create a field and an indirect description of an elusive world.
The objects were exhibited as part of the
"1024" project at the "1703 Contemporary Art Fair" supported by Limonov Art Fondation (2024).
